What is 65 Roses Day?

65 Roses Day 2009, which fell on Friday 29 May, was the annual national awareness day for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in Australia.

This special day was named after the folklore story of a little boy who could not pronounce his sister's condition, Cystic Fibrosis, and instead called it "65 Roses".

Thank you to our 2009 Supporters!

A big “thank you” to everyone who helped raise funds and awareness as part of the 65 Roses Day 2009 campaign.

We have had a wonderful response to this year’s month long campaign and wish to thank the CF community and general public for their fundraising efforts, L.J. Hooker nationally for their merchandise sales and fundraising events, retailers BIG W, Cheap as Chips and Ted’s Camera Stores for their assistance in selling merchandise. Adshel, a long term supporter of this campaign, again gave fantastic support as did McDonalds with their in-restaurant promotional support.

We also send a  big thank you to All Saints Actress Virginia Gay for doing a wonderful job as our 2009 65 Roses Day Ambassador.

To all our fundraisers it’s now time to send back your fundraising money to Cystic Fibrosis to enable these funds to be put to good use.

If you missed supporting 65 Roses Day 2009, you can still donate today and help make a difference.

Raised funds go towards research projects and support services for children and young adults living with CF. Help us make CF stand for Cure Found! Find out more.
